First of the Month Fiction - November

I'm a little distracted with the Swinburne Microfiction Challenge  so this is brief.
Write a story in 100 words exactly or one less than 30 words in the comments. Then link your blog so we can see your usual, unfettered style.

When the moon is full, and the sea is still,
When you raise your glass in happiness,
The possibilities are endless.

Not really a story, just an idea based on this. The view one night in the bar at Yao Noi.

What a stunning picture too. It’s been a while since I visited somewhere with such amazing views.

  3. Oh I love the view and the words!

Kind of don't really like mine, but whatever...

Alfie was beside himself. He was 7! This was serious stuff. Three more years until double figures. He rushed downstairs expecting presents and birthday wishes.

"Hurry up!" Phoebe glared. "We're leaving!"

In the car, Alfie glowered. Mum ignored him, bleating at the traffic.  She dropped them at school. Alfie's forlorn figure plodded to the quadrangle. They'd forgotten!

That afternoon, Dad drove them to Nanna's. Alfie bristled with indignation.  Even SHE hadn't called.

    "Surprise!"

Alfie gazed agog at the balloons and streamers. He was flabbergasted but thrilled.

"You thought we'd forgotten!" laughed Phoebe.

Alfie shook his head. "I knew all along!"

  4. 30 Words

    Bang, crash, thump…
First a foot slips then the knee goes and lastly the temple connects with the bannister.
For a ballet dancer it was an inglorious end.
    Waxed wood. Socks…

    1. Is that based on me???? Except not the irony of being a ballet dancer!
